A terribly shy child, Brenda Chamberlin was raised on a family dairy farm in rural west central Pennsylvania. Brenda first sang in public at the age of seventeen in a school talent show.
Brenda grew up attending Richardsville Baptist Church and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of sixteen. She began her Christian walk; however, she struggled for years to find God’s calling for her life.
After graduation, Brenda attended Malone University for a year then moved to Nashville, TN. It was there that she first felt called by God towards gospel music.
Starting with those days back home on the farm, Brenda had always sung country music, but a friend she met in Tennessee believed that perhaps God’s plan for her life was to sing gospel music. At first Brenda disagreed, but with time she became convinced that this was, in fact, God’s plan for her life.
In 2008, Brenda moved back to Pennsylvania to be near her family and begin using her voice for God. Her plans never came to fulfillment as fear of failure and insecurity set in.
Two years later, Brenda submitted to God’s call, took a step of faith, and began her music ministry. This time, she trusted in Him to give her the courage and confidence to succeed, despite her shyness and insecurities. Brenda met and began dating Bob Mishler in 2009. Bob was very supportive of her ministry, traveling with her and running sound for all of her singing performances. Brenda and Bob were married in April 2013. God has continued to bless them and others through her ministry. Brenda sings at churches, nursing homes, benefits, community events, and has appeared on the Family-Life Sunday Night TV show.
Brenda sings southern and country gospel as well as hymns and inspirational country. She has her own complete sound system and will travel. Her selections can range from a few songs to an hour or more, based upon your needs/preference. She is also available for Christmas concerts.
